Export thru Akhaura land port stopped

Indians are not taking any goods through the Akhaura land port in Brahmanbaria as 10 corona patients including eight members of the Border Security Force (BSF) were found in the Indian state of Tripura.

On Sunday, the export of goods through the port was stopped. Six trucks carrying export goods are stranded. Forkan Ahmed Khalifa, general secretary of the Akhaura Land Port C&F Agents Association, said the decision to close trade activities was taken after eight BSF members, a health worker and a worker was found corona coming positive. That’s why no product is being exported.

Through Akhaura land port, various products including fish and stones are exported to seven states of India known as Seven Sisters.
