A housewife was hacked to death by some miscreants at Latifpur village under Chandraganj of Sadar upazila in Lakshmipur district on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Nasrin Akhter, 34, wife of expatriate Faruk Hossain of the area and mother of two children.
According to Nasrin's husband, they were slept on the bed on Tuesday night. At the time of Fazr prayer, Nasrin went to outside for using toilet. At that time, miscreants hacked her badly. Hearing screaming, her husband and son came out from the house and saw a man fled away. Later, they rescued Nasrin and sent to her Zilla Sadar Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.
Officer-In-Charge of Chandraganj Police Station, Jasim Uddin said a group of miscreants carried out the attack at her house that left her dead on the spot due to excessive blood loss. Who did the heinous crime, we are trying to figure it out.
