Police recovered a body of an expat from Meghna River under Meghna police station in the district of Cumilla Saturday.
The deceased was identified as AL-Amin,42, son Ismail Mia, resident of Vitikandi village under Sonargaon police station in Narayanganj. Slain AL-Amin’s family claimed that he was requested by his cousin to move in the river Meghna on Thursday evening. Later he went missing.
AL-Amin is an expat in Saudi Arabia and a few days ago came home. A relative Habibur Rahman claimed that Al-Amin was killed by his cousin because there have been disputes among them that have recently relaxed.
Sonargaon Police arrested Al-Amin’s cousin Sujon,34, son Abdul Motin, resident of vitikandi village of Sonargaon upazila.
