Chattogram City Corporation former Mayor M Manjur Alam initiative and under the management of Alhaj Hosne Ara Manjur Welfare Trust, providing monthly cash medical assistance to sick, helpless and poor elderly men and women yesterday at HM Bhavan square adjacent to North Kattoli Alhaj Mostafa-Hakim College Road.
Former Mayor of Chattogram City Corporation and Chairman of Alhaj Hosne Ara Manzur Welfare Trust M. Manzur Alam was present as the chief guest in the event.
M Manzur Alam said, 'Poor elderly sick people cannot be health conscious due to poverty. Has difficulty in taking regular medical check-ups and medication.
Considering this issue, we are running this event. Since January, the program of providing medical assistance to the sick and helpless elderly of Kattoli is going on.
Akbarshah Thana Awami League Vice President Lokman Ali, Hosne Ara Manzoor Welfare Trust Advisor Saifuddin Saki, Taslim Uddin, Zafar Ahmed, Savita Biswas, Mustafa Hakim College Principal Mohammad Alamgir, Maulana Md Abdul Mannan were present.
It is to be mentioned that the former CCC Mayor has conducted many humanitarian project in the city and many distressed people benefited from his activities, they said.
