Chattogram Zilla Parishad distributed food among the corona affected people in Hathazari Municipality, Fatehpur Union and Chikandandi Union of Hathazari Upazila of Chattogram District.
Chattogram Zilla Parishad Chairman and Chattogram North District Awami League President MA Salam distributed the food aid on Thursday.
MA Salam said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the worthy daughter of Bangabandhu, has kept the situation under control by imposing various restrictions including lockdown; marginal income workers, day laborers and small traders are conducting various incentive and relief activities to alleviate the plight of those who are in financial crisis at this time. The district-wide food aid is being distributed through the Chattogram Zilla Parishad to stand by the victims of corona period.

Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Shabbir Iqbal, District Awami League Member Didarul Alam Babul, Zilla Parishad Member Shawkat Alam, Hathazari Upazila Awami League President Advocate Mohammad Ali, former Joint General Secretary of Upazila Awami League SM Morshadul Alamand various union AL leaders were present this occasion.
It is to be mentioned that food items are being provided to 12 thousand families affected by the Corona period of the district under the initiative of Chattogram Zilla Parishad.
