EU eager to develop education in Bangladesh

The European Union (EU) is interested in working with Bangladesh in the future as well as in the development of technical and vocational education in addition to general education.

Charles Whatley, the EU ambassador to Dhaka, and the delegation from the Alliance of Continental European Countries showed interest in this topic during their courtesy meeting with Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury, the minister of education, on Sunday at the Secretariat.

Jurati Smalskisti, the EU delegation's team leader for human capital development, and Soleiman Khan, the secretary of the Ministry of Education's Secondary and Higher Education Department, were in attendance.

The matter was informed in a press release signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Education, Mohammad Abul Khair.

The ministry also said that the delegation wants to cooperate with the women of Bangladesh in the language education of different countries of the European Union and help them to improve their skills so that the women of Bangladesh can contribute in different fields in different European countries.
