An emergency meeting was held at the conference room of Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Jhenaidha on Wednesday noon to over coronavirus. Presided over by DC Saroj Kumar Nath, MP of Jhenidah-Magura reserved women seat Khaleda Khanam attended it as the chief guest. Police Super Mohammad Hasanuzzaman, civil surgeon Dr Salina Banu and senior government officials, people’s representatives and media activists were present at the meeting.
The emergency meeting said a total of 274 persons returned from China, Itali, Australia, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Dubai and other countries, were taken to home quarantines in six upazilas of the districts. They were advised to maintain the government decision to stay at the home quarantines.
The meeting warned that if someone violates the advice, might be taken in books for fine and other existing rules of the government. Further, the meeting gave emphasis on create mass awareness among the people of the rural and urban areas to avoid the havoc at any cost.
