Life and Life (LAL) Onlus is an Italian-based international human rights organization, which has been working for the socio-economic development of the neglected people of different countries of the world as well as for the health, education, employment development of the backward people in Gopalganj.
Following this, in the first phase of the project called Pink Project, about 500 adolescents and working women in the area, were made aware of Health through training and yard meetings whereas health assistance were provided to 50 helpless and sick women. “Life and Life Onlus” believes that adhering to basic health care regulations to combat the outbreak of Covid-19 will reduce the risk of people in the area and ensure their safety.
To this end, they are implementing Pink Project-2.00 Emergency Covid-19 project.
They believe that it is possible to create public awareness by distributing emergency safety supplies in accordance with the guidelines given by the World Health Organization. Among other activities of the project "Life and Life Onlus" distributed 3,000 hand sanitizers, soaps and 7,000 masks in Raghunathpur Union of Gopalganj Sadar Upazila, adjacent to the 1st Bridge area of Betgram on Friday.
Md. Sabbir Hasan, Executive Director of "Life and Life (LAL) Onlus" Bangladesh, Syed Sahabuddin Hitu, Chairman Panel No. 1 of Gopalganj District Council, field workers of LAL and other dignitaries of the area were present during the distribution of the health items in compliance with the health rules.
The people of the area think that such urgent activities should be carried out to deal with the outbreak of Covid-19. In addition, "Life and Life Onlus" is called upon to carry out activities for the socio-economic development of the backward communities in the area.
