Agriculture Minister Dr Md Abdur Razzaque said that Awami League is a democratic party, it has always practiced democracy. Since its inception in 1949, the Awami League has led all movements for the establishment of democracy in the country and for the development and welfare of the country. The party will also practice democracy in the next elections. The national election of 2023 will be fair, beautiful and neutral through the participation of all. No local power, conspirators and foreigners who lick their feet will be able to influence this election. The minister made the remarks at an exchange of views after visiting Sheikh Hasina Medical College and Hospital in Tangail on Monday afternoon.
"At the same time, we hope that no matter how strong the international community or the military and the economically powerful countries may be, they will never interfere in our internal affairs," he said. The US Ambassador to Bangladesh recently said that they will not take any side in the upcoming elections in Bangladesh, this is normal; We congratulate it. This is what I expect from everyone. We will not accept any kind of interference from any country.
The minister said that the opposition parties, including the BNP, were conspiring to thwart the upcoming elections. "But they must remember that the people of the country are the source of all power,” he said. “We have to come to power through people's vote. Therefore, no matter how much the BNP conspires, it will join hands with the international conspirators; I think the people of this country will deal with it. No one will be able to come to power by conspiring or sneaking without
elections.”
