Ekushey Book Fair ends in Rangamati

The two-day Ekushey book fair that began in front of the deputy commissioner’s (DC) office of the district Tuesday on the occasion of the Amar Ekushey and International Mother Language Day, ended Thursday.

Rangamati district administration organised the fair on the occasion of Amar Ekushey and International Mother Language Day.

Dipankar Talukder, MP, chairman of the Standing Committee on Environment, Forests, and Climate Change, inaugurated the book fair as the chief guest Wednesday morning.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Khan, Superintendent of Police (SP) Mir Abu Tawhid, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md Saiful Islam, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ICT) Nasreen Sultana, Additional Superintendent of Police Md Zahidul Islam, among others, were present on the occasion. After the inauguration, Dipankar Talukder MP and other guests visited various stalls in the fair. A total of 30 stalls have been set up in the book fair.

Beside, on the occasion of the Amar Ekushey and International Mother Language Day, painting and poetry recitation competitions were held at the initiative of Zilla Shilpakala Academy and Shishu Academy.
