Police arrested 8 robbers while preparing for robbery in Chattogram old railway station area.
They were arrested near the public toilet of the railway station around 11 pm on Tuesday.
The arrested are - Joy Barua (21), Md Sohail (24), Md Junaid (23), Md Bachchu Prakash Bullet (34), Shahid Howladar (34), Md Russel (24), Md Zakir (29) and Monir Hussain (19).
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kotwali Police Station Zahidul Kabir said, they were preparing for the robbery by gathering in a dark place next to the public toilet in the rural field adjacent to the old railway station. 8 robbers were arrested after receiving information based on secret information. Meanwhile, 5 daggers were recovered from them.
According to the preliminary investigation, they robbed and robbed in the area of Kotwali police station from evening till dawn.
