­Education Minister’s Eid gifts to 7,500 families in Chandpur

She has ex­tended a hel­ping hand to the extremely poor and unemployed people of these two upazilas in his constituency. She has given Eid gifts to seven and a half thousand families of these two upazilas. 

Everyone was given rice, oil, semai, sugar and milk.

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni on Thursday afternoon virtually inaugurated the Eid gift distribution programme through a virtual meeting.

District Awami League vice-president on behalf of the Education Minister. JR Wadud Tipu handed over the Eid gift to the Chairman of Chandpur Sadar and Haimchar Upazila Parishad and the Mayor of Chandpur Municipality. After that, the Eid gifts were delivered in every union and ward through the people's representatives and the president and general secretary of the ward and union Awami League.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, Chandpur Municipality, Sadar Upazila and Haimchar Upazila People's Representatives, Press Club leaders, Central and local Awami League leaders at various levels. Many joined the meeting from their respective positions and many joined the meeting in the hall room of the Education Minister's residence in Chandpur city. From here the Eid gifts are handed over to the people's representatives and leaders.
