Edn Minister affirms continuation of Qaumi Madrasas

In a recent press conference held at the Secretariat, Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury reaffirmed the existence and future continuation of Qaumi Madrasas in Bangladesh, dismissing rumors of their closure. Addressing concerns stemming from distorted statements, Minister Chowdhury clarified the government's stance on the matter, emphasizing the significance of Qaumi Madrasas in the country's educational landscape.

Contrary to speculations circulating in certain quarters, the Education Minister categorically stated that there were no plans to shut down Qaumi Madrasas. He underscored their legal recognition and historical importance within the nation's educational framework, highlighting their role in providing religious education and shaping the moral fabric of society.

Minister Chowdhury further addressed the issue of unregistered institutions, particularly Noorani Madrasas, urging for a unified approach to ensure educational standards and curriculum consistency across all educational establishments. 

He stressed the need for collaboration with Qaumi Madrasa authorities to enhance students' skills and literacy, thereby facilitating their integration into the workforce.

Dispelling allegations of promoting anti-state ideologies, the Minister reiterated the government's commitment to monitoring educational content to safeguard national interests. 

He emphasized the importance of scrutinizing teaching materials to prevent any dissemination of extremist ideologies or sentiments detrimental to the state's welfare.

Furthermore, Minister Chowdhury condemned false accusations linking him to religious organizations, clarifying his secular stance and rejecting attempts to tarnish his reputation. 

He reiterated his dedication to fostering inclusive education and promoting dialogue among stakeholders to address concerns and improve educational outcomes for all students, regardless of their background.

In conclusion, Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury affirmed the government's support for Qaumi Madrasas, pledging to work collaboratively to enhance their educational standards while ensuring alignment with national goals and values.
