A Rohingya child was killed by an easy bike in Ukhia, Cox's Bazar recently.
Shaheed ATM Zafar Alam of Arakan Road (Cox's Bazar-Teknaf Road) in Shafiullah Kata area of Palongkhali Union in Ukhia Upazila said that the incident occurred. Ukhia Police Station OC Shamim Hossain confirmed the news.
Deceased Md Yachin (7) is the son of Noor Hakim of Block E-4 of Rohingya Camp No. 11, Balukhali, Ukhia Upazila.
OC Shamim Hossain said that around 12:30 PM Md. Yashin was walking. A speeding easybike hit him. He was injured and died on the spot. When the locals went ahead, the driver left the vehicle and ran away
After receiving information, the APBN police assigned to ensure security of the Rohingya camp reached the spot and rescued the dead, said the OC.
