Chattogram Range DIG Anwar Hossain said that e-traffic prosecution will be able to get updated information of any vehicle immediately, to prevent wastage of time and also to reduce corruption. What was previously planned for the metropolitan police is now part of the plan to introduce it in the districts.

The DIG said this while inaugurating the 'e-Traffic Prosecution' program at Bangabandhu Chattar area of Lakshmipur town on Saturday noon.

He also said with the introduction of this system, drivers will not have to go to the traffic police office and will be able to deposit money immediately through banks and BKash. Earlier, traffic officials used to hold a fine paper and ask them to contact the traffic office. There was an opportunity to increase or decrease the fine, but it will not happen now.

SP AHM Kamruzzaman  was present at the opening ceremony, Additional Superintendent of Police Palash Kanti Nath, Monne Thoai Marma, Mimtanur Rahman, DI One Iqbal Hossain, DB OC Azizur Rahman, Sadar Police Station OC Jasim Uddin, Raipur Police Station OC Abdul Jalil, Chandraganj Police Station OC Fazlul Haque, Traffic Md. Mamun and Md. Zakir Hossain and others were present at the programme.

Earlier in the morning, DIG visited Kamalnagar police station. He later met with the district police in an exchange of views.
