The activities of E-passport have been inaugurated in Gopalganj on Monday afternoon on the occasion of birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Awami League’s presidium member and MP from Gopalganj-2 constituency Dr Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim inaugurated the programme at the regional passport office in Gopalganj as the chief guest. Presided over by Director General of the Department of Immigration and Passport Major General Shakil Ahmed, the function was attended and addressed, among others, by Brigadier General Saidur Rahman Khan, Managing Director of E-passport and automatic border control project, President of Gopalganj AL and Chairman of Zila Parishad Chowdhury Emdadul Haque, General Secretary of Mahbub Ali Khan, Chairman of Sadar upazila Sheikh Lutfar rahman Bachchu, Gopalganj Municipality Mayor Liakat Ali, DD of Immigration and Passport office Ismael Hossain, Lieutenant Colonel Sabbir Ahmed, Assistant Director of Regional Passport office Afzal Hossain.
