A preparatory meeting for the upcoming Saradiya Durga Puja, organized by Gopalganj district administration was held in the district on Sunday.
District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner Shahida Sultana presided over the meeting held at 10 am in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner.
Among others, District Superintendent of Police Ayesha Siddiqa, District AL President and Zila Parishad Chairman Chowdhury Emdadul Haque, District AL General Secretary Mahabub Ali Khan, Municipal Mayor Kazi Liaquat Ali, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Overall) Md Eliasur Rahman, Gopalganj Sarbojanin Kendrio Kalibari President Dr. Arun Kanti Biswas, District Puja Udjapan Parishad General Secretary Monindranath Barai Moni spoke at the preparatory meeting.
Political, social, cultural and religious organization’s leaders of various level including UNO, President and GS of Puja Udjapan Parishad of different upazilas of the district were present at the time.

The Deputy Commissioner and the Superintendent of Police sought the cooperation of all with various directions to complete the Puja formally in a proper and beautiful manner in compliance with the hygiene rules.
