Dhaka University Journalists’ Association (DUJA) celebrated its 36th founding anniversary on Sunday at Dhaka University Teachers and Students Centre (TSC) with great joy and enthusiasm.
Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the programme.
DUJA President Mehedi Hasan and Secretary Sajjadul Kabir, members and well-wishers of DUJA were present in the programme.
Dr Md Akhteruzzaman congratulated the DUJA members and said, “DUJA members played dual role to the university as students and journalists. They maintain professionalism and objectivity in their reports.”
The Vice Chancellor also urged DUJA members to uphold the progress of the university with positive attitude.
Mehedi Hasan said, “DUJA maintains professionalism and objectivity from the founding era. Our ancestors have worked with dedication and professionalism, and we will continue it for the betterment of the nation.”
Later, DUJA members brought out a rally at the TSC area on the campus.
