Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) observed the national mourning day on the occasion of the 44th death anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on Thursday.
DUCSU president and DU vice-chancellor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman presided over the procession of DUCSU leaders to Bangabandhu’s portrait in Dhanmondi to pay their respects. DUCSU AGS Md Saddam Hossain, science and technology editor Md Arif Ibne Ali, culture editor Asif Talukdar, sports editor Shakil Ahmed Tanvir, members Muhammad Mahmudul Hasan and Raisa Naser were present on the occasion.
DUCSU president and DU vice-chancellor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman and other DUCSU leaders took part in a dua mahfil arranged for Bangabandhu and his family members to pray for the souls of the departed.
