The authorities also decided not to reopen the dormitories and halve the exam time, VC. Akhtaruzzaman told the Bangladesh Post.

We don’t want our student to face session jam due to coronavirus pandemic, he added.

Meanwhile, students urged the authorities to reopen the dormitories ahead if the examinations.

Before holding take exams, dormitories should be opened with ensuring health protocols and social distancing, said Saddam Hossain, who is a former assistant general secretary of DU Central Students Union.

“We cannot risk our students by reopening dormitories amid the pandemic,” VC Akhtaruzzaman said.
