DU launches vaccination drive

The Dhaka University authorities have launched a temporal vaccinationdrive against the Covid-19 at the university’s Shaheed Buddhijibi Dr Mohammad Mortuza Medical Centre on Monday.

Dhaka University Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the vaccination drive as the chief guest. 

Pro vice-chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr Mohammad Samad, Pro vice-chancellor (Education) Professor Dr ASM Maksud Kamal, Co-ordinator of the vaccination drive Professor Dr Md Abdul Mohit, Chief Medical Officer Dr Sarwar Jahan Mottafee, Directorate General of Health Service Dr Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam were present at the programme. 

The university’steachers, students, officers and employees will take only the Sinopharm (Vero Cell) from the centre after following a procedure.

The vaccination drive will continue till October 17 and the second phase for the 2nd dose will begin from November 1.

Teachers, students, officers and employees will take their first dose ofthe Covid-19 vaccine through on-spot registration after showing NID card and University ID card.

The students registeredfor coronavirus vaccine in Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Sheikh Hasina Nation Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery and Government Employees Hospital, only they can take their 1st and 2nd dose showing their vaccine card from the university centre.
