DU ‘Ka’ unit admission test held

The admission test for 2019-20 session under “Ka” unit (Science group) of Dhaka University (DU) was held on Friday from 10am to 11:30am. A total of 88,955 students participated in the test for 1,795 seats. That is, around 49 students are vying for a seat in the ‘Ka’ unit. The admission test held at 86 centres in and outside the DU campus.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman, Treasurer Professor Dr Md Kamal Uddin and Dean of the Faculty of Science Professor Tofail Ahmed Chowdhury, among others, visited the examination centres.

Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman, vice-chancellor of Dhaka University said, "The atmosphere in the exam centres was peaceful during the admission test"."I hope that the rest of the admission tests will be held in a good manner and without facing any problem," he added.The admission test for 'Kha' unit (Arts group) will be held today (Saturday) and 'Gha' unit on September 27 (Friday). The aspirant’s written paper will not be evaluated if he or she fails to obtain pass marks in MCQ.

For the written test, a candidate has to score 12 or more to pass. If a candidate gets less than 12 marks, but passes the MCQ part, he or she will still be considered ineligible for admission.
