DU is inclusive, non-communal, humanitarian campus: VC

Referring to Dhaka University as an inclusive, non-communal and humane campus, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md Akhtaruzzaman said that students should develop as skilled and humane people by participating in various co-educational activities in addition to classrooms, laboratories and libraries. He said this in the speech of the chief guest at the introduction meeting of the students of the 1st year honors class of various departments of the Faculty of Business Studies, Faculty of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences and Faculty of Engineering and Technology at the student-teacher center auditorium on Wednesday. The program is organized by the Office of Student Guidance and Counseling.

Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Prof Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Hasan Babu, Dean of the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences Prof. Dr. Md. Zillur Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Biological Sciences Prof. Dr. AKM Mahbub Hasan and Acting Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies Prof. Dr. Zakir Hossain Bhuiyan spoke as special guests. At that time, the advisor of the Student-Teacher Center, Prof. Dr. Sikder Manowar Murshed, along with the chairmen and student-advisors of various departments were present.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mo Akhtaruzzaman said that the students should know about the university's rules, facilities, various office activities, services and various co-educational programs. Be respectful to each other and always be involved with family, teachers and classmates. Be aware of campus environment and nature conservation. The Vice-Chancellor urged the students to make good use of the time by stressing on participation in innovative and creative activities.
