DU Cultural Society organises ‘Ashar Parban-1429’

An integral part of the life-culture of Bengal's atmosphere, to welcome the second season of the Bengali season 'Barsha' organized by the Dhaka University Cultural Society on 1st Ashar, 1429, Wednesday. It is to be held every Wednesday in the TSC auditorium of Dhaka University dedicated 'Ashav 1429'. Dhaka University Cultural Parliament is celebrating the festival for the first time by organizing cultural programs and handicraft fairs. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor (Administration) said. Muhammad Samad will inaugurate the program on Wednesday. 

Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology will be the chief guest. Director General of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Liaquat Ali Lucky and eminent drama and media personality Md. Will be present as special guests. Hamid. Sabrina Sultana Chowdhury, Moderator of Dhaka University Cultural Parliament will be present as the Chairperson.

The program will start at 3:30 pm. After the speeches of the guests in the inaugural program, various cultural performances of Dhaka University Cultural Parliament as well as music performance of famous brand 'Krishnapakshe' will be the main attraction. In an effort to showcase the handicrafts of Bengal, a day-long handicrafts fair will be organized at the TSC premises on the same day. Regarding the organization of the festival, Sadia Ashrafi Thijbi, President of the Cultural Parliament, said, “Dhaka University Cultural Parliament has always been playing a leading role in maintaining the pure practice of culture and Bengali heritage. Monsoon is an important season in the life of Bengalis. Ashar Parvan is organized by the Dhaka University Cultural Parliament to bring out the season of this bitter-sweet experience in this green and cloudy water. "

Regarding the organization of the festival on the first day of the monsoon, General Secretary Joy Das said, "Cultural activities can purify the minds of the people in the same way that the monsoon cleanses the nature by washing away the dust and dirt of nature. So we are organizing this cultural event on the first day of the monsoon. Through practice, everyone's mind becomes pure and pure. "
