The Dhaka South City Corporation has set up a mobile court to ensure strict observance of the strict lockdown announced by the government to control the ongoing Covid-19 situation.
Irfan Uddin Ahmed led a mobile court in Gulistan, Secretariat, Dhaka University, Nilkhet, Dhanmondi and Jigatla areas in front of Dhaka City Medical College of South City Corporation on Thursday under the leadership of Executive Magistrate AH Irfan Uddin Ahmed.
During the petrol, he fined a man named Mostaq Mia Tk 200 for not wearing a mask in front of the Nilkhet junction and for wandering around without a valid reason. He was fined under Section 269 of the Penal Code 1860.
Commenting on the raid, DSCC Executive Magistrate Irfan Uddin Ahmed said, "In all the places where we have conducted raids today, people have not been seen roaming the streets and shops and markets other than the authorized ones have been closed. Overall, the people are abiding by the strict lockdown rules announced by the government. "
