A notorious drug peddler was arrested along with 10,000 pieces of yaba from Dakkhin Lombori Village in Teknaf Upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Saturday. The arrestee is identified as Syed Alam, 29, of the area.
Acting on a tip off, a team of Coast Guard raided the house of Alam on Saturday night and nabbed him along with 10,000 pieces of yaba. During interrogation, the drug trader said he stocked the yaba at his house for selling. He has been selling drugs in the area for long. Later, he was handed over to Teknaf Police Station.
