Dr Mizan made IU TSCC director

Dr M Mizanur Rahman, a professor of English department of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia, has been appointed as new director of Teachers Students Cultural Centre (TSCC) of the university. 

IU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari appointed him to the post for next one year. Acting Registrar SM Abdul Latif confirmed the matter on Sunday.

Dr Mizan replaced recently departed Prof Yasin Ali of Bangla department.

Tagor’s Aesthetic researcher, international translator and renowned literate Dr Mizan was the secretary of Bangabandhu Parishad and treasurer of IU Teachers Association. He served as chairman of English department, and provost of Jatir Pita Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall, Desh Ratna Shiek Hashina Hall.

Talking to Bangladesh Post, Dr Mizan said that he would act to regain the mobility in the cultural arena of the university with the assistance of all stakeholders on the campus.
