Dr Iqbal’s research work recognised

Dr M Iqbal Hossain, a professor of Dawah’ and Islamic Studies department of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia, received proclamation from United State of America for his contribution on interfaith around the world.

World Interfaith Centre of USA handed over the award to the Islamic scholar after finishing his one-year service and research in USA.

S Goseph Gomes, Executive Director of Interfaith Centre USA, New York hereby honored Prof Dr M Iqbal Hossain for his work.

Dr Iqbal, son of Moinuddin Ahmed, was born at Dharabandha village under Mononoridi upazialla in Narsindi on February 2 in 1974. 

He completed his higher studies in Theology from Birkbeck College in London. He successfully finished his PGC in Human Rights from University of East London, UK in 2010 while he was awarded PhD degree from Islamic University, Kushtia in 2004.

Dr Iqbal is known as Islamic scholar, interfaith leader, columnist, public speaker and talented writer. More than 15 of his books and 40 research articles have already been published in national and international journals.
