Doctor missing from Savar now in jail

The doctor, who claimed to be disappeared by his family members since Saturday, was shown arrested and sent to jail on Thursday morning, confirmed Ashraf Siddique, assistant deputy commissioner (ADC) of DB Wari Zone.

The arrestee was identified as Saidur Rahman Nazrul alias S.RNazrul, son of late Anwar Hossain, hailed from Manikganj district, and runs a private medical healthcare facility in Savar.

The DB official told Bangladesh Post that they arrested the man named Dr Md. Saidur Rahman alias S.R Nazrul, had been deceiving people by posing as a doctor, and being involved with a forged MBBS certificate syndicate, adding that they picked him up from the capital on Wednesday, refusing the allegation of picked him up from Savar on Saturday.

Monirul Islam, OC, Ramna Model police station of Capital said Detective Branch (DB) of DMP filed a case with his police station on Thursday over the charge of deceiving people, adding that he doesn’t know anything further in this regard.

Earlier on Sunday, the family members of the arrestee lodged a general diary with Savar model police station mentioning that some 7 to 8 people in plainclothes picked her husband Nazrul from his own chamber located Bazar road area in Savar, on capital’s outskirts.

Ashraf, the ADC further said Nazrul basically was a student of Madrasa background, and allegedly sell fake MBBS certificates to people, besides providing fake medical diagnosis tests of several kinds of reports to people.
