Dr Md Yanur Hossain, Deputy Assistant Medical Officer of Gobra Union Sub-Health Center of Narail Sadar Upazila passed away with corona symptoms on Thursday night. He was 35.
Dr Md Yanur Hossain is the son of Md. Yunus Sheikh of Machhimdia area of Narail Municipality. This is the first time a doctor has died of corona symptoms in Narail district.
Resident Medical Officer (RMO) of Narail Adhunik Sadar Hospital Dr Mashiur Rahman Babu confirmed the matter and said that Dr Yanur Hossain had been suffering from various symptoms of corona including fever, shortness of breath and sore throat for the last few days. He was admitted into the isolation ward of Narail Sadar Hospital around 1:00pm on Thursday with severe shortness of breath. When his condition deteriorated, he was referred to Khulna Medical College Hospital. He died at around 10:00 pm while undergoing treatment there. RMO Dr Mashiur Rahman Babu said that samples of Dr Md Yanur were collected.
Meanwhile, doctors, officials and employees of Narail Sadar Hospital have conveyed their deepest condolences to the bereaved family. According to the family sources of the deceased, Dr. Yanur left behind a large number of mourners including his wife and one son. He was buried at the Municipal Cemetery in Narail town after Janaza on Friday morning.
