Advocate Kazi Azadul Kabir alias Kazi Azad, general secretary of Awami League’s Mirpur thana unit of Dhaka North, arranged a milad and doa mahfil at his village home at Umedpur Kazibari under Shailkupa upazila in Jhenidah on Thursday.  The party activists, local elite persons and media activists participated in the doa mahfil. Moulana Kazi Abul Kalam Azad led the doa mahfil. Later, they offered ziarat at the grave yards of the family members at Kazibari.

The mahfil discussed the continuous development of the country under the leadership of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and prayed for her long life so that the people in the country irrespective of cast, creed and gender might lead a better life with dignity, free from poverty, hunger, illiteracy and militancy.

In his speech, Kazi Azadul Kabir said now the country is no longer bottomless basket as slapped by an influential person of the United States. Now we are marching towards a developed nation without benting our heads where the Prime Minster has been working hard to establish the country as a model before the world.

Each and every citizen should come forward to rebuilt the country earned after a nine-month bloodshed against the occupying evil forces of Pakistan in 1971, he urged.
