DNCC pays tribute to Sheikh Russel

On the occasion of the 59th birthday of Shaheed Sheikh Russell, Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) organized wreath laying, milad and special prayers at his mausoleum.

DNCC Chief Executive Officer Md Salim Reza paid tribute by placing wreaths at the tomb of Shaheed Sheikh Russell at Banani Cemetery on Tuesday (October 18) morning. Senior officials and councilors of DNCC were present. After paying respects at the tomb of Martyr Sheikh Russell, prayers and prayers were offered for the forgiveness of his soul.

After paying respects at Banani Cemetery, a discussion meeting was held on the occasion of 'Sheikh Russell Day-2022' in the conference room on the 6th floor of Gulshan Nagar Bhavan. At the beginning, flowers were paid to the portrait of Sheikh Russell at the main gate of the conference hall.

In the discussion meeting, recalling the memory of Shaheed Sheikh Russell, DNCC Chief Executive Officer Md Salim Reza said, "Sheikh Russell was very lively since his childhood. On August 15, 1975, even the desire of the little innocent child could not melt the minds of human beings. The killing of innocent child Sheikh Russell is the most heinous crime in the history of the world. Had he not been brutally killed, he would have led this country.'

At the end of the discussion meeting, Milad and Doa Mahfil were held to seek the forgiveness of the soul of Shaheed Sheikh Russell.

DNCC Chief Health Officer Brig Gen Md Zobaidur Rahman, Chief Engineer Brig Gen Muh Amirul Islam, Chief Waste Management Officer Commodore SM Sharif-ul Islam, Secretary Mohammad Masud Alam Siddique, Councilors and senior officials of DNCC were present in the discussion meeting.
