The Cox's Bazar district administration has provided Taka one lakh in cash, food and winter clothes to the families of five brothers killed in a tragic road accident at Malumghat in Chakaria upazila of Cox's Bazar.
Apart from consoling the helpless bereaved families, the district administration has promised to provide more if needed in future.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Amin Al Parvez on Friday (February 11th) provided the assistance to the families of the five brothers killed in Dulahazara Hasina Para of the upazila.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Mohammad Amin Al Parvez said that under the direction of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mamunur Rashid, the families of five brothers who were killed in a tragic pickup at Chakaria Malumghat were provided cash assistance of one lakh rupees, food and winter clothes to meet emergency expenses.
He expressed his condolences to the family members and said that this incident of road accident is really a heartbreaking incident. No one will be able to make up for the loss of their family. Since then, we have been providing assistance to the district administration from a humanitarian point of view
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Mohammad Amin Al Parvez conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family.
Among others, Chakaria Upazila Parishad Chairman Fazlul Karim Sayedee, Upazila Nirbahi Officer JP Dewan, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Rahatuzzaman, Dulahajra Union Parishad Chairman Hasanul Islam Adar and others were present on the occasion.
Incidentally, Suresh Chandra Shil died of old age ten days ago. He lived with his family in Hasinapara, Ringvangstha, adjacent to Malumghat Christian Hospital in Dulahajra Union. When Suresh Chandra Sheel died on January 26, his children performed the funeral rites according to the rules of Hinduism. Suresh Chandra Sheel's six sons and two daughters started following all the rules after the funeral.
On the 11th day of the father's death, the children of Suresh Chandra Sheel were sitting on the side of the Cox's Bazar-Chittagong highway in the Hindu Shastri religion around 5 am on Tuesday, February 6, before returning to their father's shraddha and formalities before sunrise. Sharan Shil, his brother Champak Shil, Nirupam Shil, Deepak Shil, Plavan Shil and their three other brothers were seriously injured when a speeding pickup truck heading towards Cox's Bazar hit the north side of Malumghat station while crossing the Cox's Bazar highway on their way home from mourning their dead father. -Sister. The injured were rushed to the local Memorial Christian Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared the four dead. Two other brothers and sisters were critically injured in the incident and were being treated at Christian Hospital and Chittagong Medical Hospital, but the hospital doctor declared another brother dead at around 11am.
The 5 brothers killed in the road accident are, the son of the late Suresh Chandra Sheel of Hasina Para area of Ward No. 1 of Dulahazara Union. Anupam Sheel (48), her brother Nirupam Sheel (40), Deepak Sheel (35), Champak Sheel (30) and Raktim Sheel (38).
It may be mentioned that the district administration had earlier provided cash assistance of one lakh and twenty five thousand rupees to the families of the victims.
