Distribution of Tk 1.15 crore cheques at Matarbari

In the ongoing development project at Maheshkhali in Cox's Bazar, 32 cheques worth Tk 1.15 crore have been distributed among the affected landowners on Saturday.

Cox's Bazar Deputy Commissioner Md Mamunur Rashid distributed the checks to the land owners of the area in the conference room of Matarbari Shah Majidia Madrasa in the morning.

At the time, he said, no broker or middleman was needed to withdraw the acquisition money. 

The owner of the affected land will personally submit the application and attend the hearing. If you are harassed or corrupt in getting services, you should contact him directly. 

He added that the government has declared jihad against corruption. The district administration is working to implement this policy at the field level. No one will be exempted here.

Apart from the local people's representatives, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Moha­mmad Amin Al Parvez, Mahesh­khaliUpazilaNirbahi Officer MahfuzurRahman and other land acquisition officers were also present.

Later, Deputy Commissioner Md. Mamunur Rashid inspected the damage caused by Cyclone Yas at Matarbari in MaheshkhaliUpazila. During this time, the Prime Minister provided humanitarian assistance to the victims of the disaster.
