Dohar and Nawabganj upazila administration held various programs in the upazilas marking Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birth centenary and Homecoming Day on Saturday. A discussion meeting was held at Dohar upazila while, Nawabganj upazila brought a colorful rally on the occasion.
Dohar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Afroza Akhtar Riba conducted the discussion while, AL leader, UZ Chairman Alamgir Hossain discussed about important parts of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s life. In his speech, he said we will commemorate Bangabandhu’s memory throughout the year by celebrating his birth centenary.
Assistant Commissioner (land), Jyoti Bikash Chandra, Dohar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sajjad Hossain and other leaders of the Awami League were present at the time. On the other hand, the procession started from the premises of Upazila administration in Nawabganj, which ended in a meeting at the central Shaheed Minar premises.
Among others, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) HM Salauddin Manju, Nawabganj UZ Chairman Nasir Uddin Ahmed Jhilu, AL leader Paniruzzaman Tarun, Mizanur Rahman Kismat, Md. Jalal Uddin were present there.
