The program was inaugurated by Education Minister Dipu Moni in the capital’s National Academy for Education Management (NAEM) on Sunday afternoon.

During the inauguration, she disclosed the results. The lottery for online admission is being conducted through Teletalk's special software.

After the inauguration, the head of the institutions, parents and students will be able to know the results from the website http://gsa.teletalk.com.bd through their assigned ID and password.

After receiving the results, the heads of the institutions will send an e-mail to the concerned district and upazila admission committee president and inform the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE).

In those institutions where vacancies based on class will not be filled after the publication of lottery results, the admission of students in the remaining vacancies will have to be completed following the letter of DSHE dated December 2. 3,68,000 applicants have applied for 9,40,000 seats in 2,907 private schools at metropolitan and district level. They have given 7,14,000 preferences.

It is being feared that about six lakh seats will be vacant in private schools in the coming academic year.

Students selected through lottery will be admitted in private schools from December 21 to 27. Students from the waiting list will be admitted from December 28 to 30.
