Diarrhea outbreak feared in Tarash

The number of diarrhea patients including children and the elderly in the 50-bed Upazila Health Complex of Tarash Upazila in Sirajganj is increasing day by day. An average of 10 diarrhea patients are admitted to the hospital every day. In the outpatient department, more than a hundred diarrhea patients are treated every day.

On Wednesdat, Tarash visited the 50-bed hospital and found that all the beds in the male and female wards were full of patients. Among them, diarrhea patients are getting more treatment.

According to hospital sources, 10 patients are being admitted to the hospital every day due to diarrhea. Again, the patients suffering from diarrhea are taking first aid in the outpatient department. In the rainy season, the rain suddenly became hot again. The weather is this good this bad. Among them, people are eating various types of food including mango and jackfruit. It is more people diarrhea.

Jeevan Ghosh of Tarash Municipal Headquarters said, "I was admitted to the hospital with diarrhea last night." After treatment I am now healthy.

Laili Khatun of Kornaghosh village in Madhainagar union of the upazila said her child was admitted to the hospital with diarrhea and was undergoing treatment.

Dr Maqbool Hossain, a resident doctor at the 50-bed hospital in Tarash Upazila, said: Besides, people are eating various types of food including mango and jackfruit.

There is more diarrhea, there is nothing to fear. Because we have adequate treatment for diarrhea patients here.

He advised the members of each family to take more care of the children and the elderly.
