The Embassy of the Netherlands in Dhaka, in collaboration with the Centre for Governance Studies, organised a high-level discussion on Wednesday with major political parties on the challenges women face in politics and diplomacy, marking the International Day for Women in Diplomacy.
The event, held at the Ambassador’s residence, brought together prominent female leaders from major political parties, diplomats and representatives from Western likeminded missions, said a press release issued on Wednesday.
Diplomats and representatives from Western likeminded missions, featured speakers such as Mahdi Amin, Advisor to the Chairman, BNP, Advocate Fahima Nasrin Munni, Assistant Secretary, International Affairs, BNP, Barrister Nasreen Sultana Mili, Joint General Secretary, AB Party, Dr. Tasnim Jara, Senior Joint Member Secretary, NCP, Syeda Nilima Dola, NCP Leader, Advocate Subikunnahar Munni, Jamaat-e-Islami Women’s Division, and Barrister Andaleeve Rahman Partho, Chairman, Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) were present there.
