This year’s Elite Henna Festival was organized jointly by Dhakabashi Organization and Azimpur Estate Janakalyan Samity (AEJS) on Thursday at AEJS community centre on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. The slogan for the henna festival this year was ‘Keep your surroundings clean to stay healthy and safe’.
Snake charmer Abdul Kader inaugurated the program by playing the flute. AEJS General Secretary and Dhakabashi Advisor Alhaj AKM Iqbal Choudhury presided over the event. Dhakabashi Chief Advisor, former Secretary and Bangladesh Awami League (AL) Advisory Council member Mr Enam Ahmed Choudhury was present as chief guest.
AL South Dhaka Metropolitan General Secretary Mr Shah-e-Alam Murad and Dhakabashi Advisor Haji Abdus Salam were also present as special guests at the event. Dhakabashi President Mr Md Shukur Salek and Secretary-General Sheikh Khuda Buksh gave the opening speeches.
Prizes were distributed among contestants at the closing of the festival.
