The Directorate General of Health Service (DGHS) has formed a ‘monitoring team’ by assigning 45 officials to look after the services of different hospitals across Bangladesh during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The assigned officials will visit hospitals once in a month and inform the health directorate about the overall scenario of the hospital care, the DGHS said in a statement.
The team will observe the cleanliness condition, medical equipment usage, construction work, the management of purchasing drugs and other assets, quality of food provided in the healthcare facilities, and fire extinguisher and disaster management capacities, among others.
The committee is formed amid reports that people are not getting services in hospitals.
