Police, in a drive over the past 24 hours, arrested ten people under Operation ‘Devil Hunt Phase-2’ from the Jatrabari area of the capital on Monday.
The arrestees were identified as Rony Shikdar alias Rajon, 36; Delwar Hossain Dulu, 43; Md Khokon, 21; Foysal, 19; Shubho Molla, 19; Mizan, 29; Md Mizan, 31; Md Shohagh, 28; Ramjan alias Hridoy, 25; and Md Ali, 30.
A team of Jatrabari Police conducted the drive and seized 92 pieces of Yaba tablets and 27 packets of heroin from their possession, said Deputy Commissioner (Media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Talebur Rahman.
In a separate incident, detectives arrested a man along with 3,000 pieces of Yaba tablets from Matuail in the Jatrabari area on Monday morning.
The arrestee was identified as Ziabul Haque, 42.
Two separate cases have been filed under the Narcotics Act with Jatrabari Police Station.
