Dengue cases increasing alarmingly in N’ganj

The dengue situation in Narayangan has been deteriorating with the rapid increase in the number of dengue patients. 

The government hospitals in the district are booked by the everyday with infected dengue patients.

Only in the 24 hours reading that forty new dengue patients have been detected in the district. The report also revealed that in the last eight days in this month two hundred and twenty two people have been infected by dengue virus.

District civil surgeon claimed that there was no scarcity in providing treatment to the dengue patient.

According to health officials, a total of 95 dengue patients are admitted in all health complexes and hospitals. Besides, a number of 1762 dengue patients have taken treatment in the last few days.

Among the all state-run health complex admitted patients reading – 12 are in Khanpur hospital, 16 in General hospital, 2 in Araihazar upazila health complex, 6 in Bandar upazila health complex, 1 in Rupganj upazila health complex and 3 in Sonargaon upazila health complex are admitted in last twenty four hours.

Civil surgeon Dr. Mushiur Rahman said that no death incident occurred in Narayanganj during treatment in recent days.

The conscious citizens are expressing grave concern over the authority's concern for not taking any step to control dengue virus carrier aedes mosquito. The citizens assume that if the dirty basin and drain water is capable of removing and thus the mosquito menace is bound to lower this time.
