Professional drivers of Chuadanga district formed human chain at Academy School Mor in the district town on Wednesday demanding renewal of their driving licences in easy system.
M General Islam, Vice President of Sarak Paribahan Sramik Federation’s Central Committee, Ripon Molla, General Secretary of Chuadanga Zila Bus, Minibus and Microbus Sarak Paribahan Union, Mamun Or Rashid, General Secretary of Chuadanga Anto Zila Truck and Trucklori Sramik Union and Sirazul Islam Siraz, President of Chuadanga Zela Truck and Covered Van, and Trunklori Sramik Union, addressed at the human chain programme.
According to the speakers of the human chain programme, once upon a time national identity cards were not in Bangladesh, then many drivers applied for professional driving licences by filling up as they liked. Accordingly, licences were issued. At present not match with NID cards, so BRTA do not renewed their licences. All speakers demanded renewal of their licences in easy process.
It may be mentioned here, BRTA asked them for correcting the NID cards and submit applications filling up according to information of NID cards.
