Deepto TV has given awards to television actors to mark the channel’s seventh anniversary.
The TV channel organised "Deepto Award Ceremony 2022" on Friday at Deepto TV Bhaban in the capital to hand over 19 awards in three categories -- single drama, serial drama, and dubbed serial drama.
Agriculture Minister of Bangladesh Dr Abdur Razzaque joined the event as the chief guest and State Minister of Cultural Affairs K M Khalid as the special guest.
Renowned actor Abul Hayat, actor and director Salauddin Lavlu, Apurba, Jovan, Tasnia Farin, Bidya Sinha Mim, and Sabila Nur, were among those who attended the event.
The event was inaugurated with a speech by the MD of Deepto TV, Kazi Jahedul Islam.
"Starting my journey at the tender age of ten, I acted in school dramas to theatre and television," said Abul Hayat who received the "Lifetime Achievement Award" at the ceremony. "Of course, this long journey over the last six decades would not be possible without the support of my parent, and of course inspiration the late 'Jatra Shamrat' Amalendu Biswas."
"The media as well as the journalists who wrote about me contributed greatly to get me this far," adds the Lifetime Awardee.
