‘Deb Memorial Lecture’ held at Dhaka University

The 'Deb Memorial Lecture' organised by Dhaka University Govinda Dev Darshan Research Center was held on Sunday at RC Majumdar Arts Auditorium.

The event was presided over by Prof Dr ASM Maqsood Kamal, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) of Dhaka University and President of Govind Dev Philosophy Research Center. Speaks as a special guest. Prof Dr M Shasher Ali, Founder Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh Open University and Southeast University, delivered a commemorative talk entitled ‘Contemporary Implications of Mawlana Rumi's Thoughts Especially for Younger Generations’. The director of the center, Professor. Shah Kawsar Mustafa Abul Aulai conducted the program.

Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof Dr ASM Maqsood Kamal called upon the students to be human beings with humane and moral values for building a beautiful society and world.

Emeritus Professor Dr AK Azad Chowdhury said that there is a crisis of values in the world today. In this situation, the philosophy of Maulana Rumi is relevant in establishing world peace and harmony.

Prof Dr Shasher Ali called upon the young generation to build a beautiful society and world through self-purification, morality and love of people.
