It has been alleged that a woman died due to wrong operation in Naogaon Manda. She underwent caesarean section at Faisal Clinic and Diagnostic Center in Prasadpur Bazar around 2:30 pm on Saturday. But her condition worsened due to excessive bleeding. Later, when she was taken to the hospital, the women died at around 8:30 pm.
The deceased was identified as Aklima Begum, 32. She is the wife of Abdul Mannan Mannu of Jotbazar area of Nurullahabad Union. Aklima Begum had given birth to a child by caesarean section twice before. She was admitted to Faisal Clinic and Diagnostic Center on Saturday morning to give birth to her third child.
Mahabur Rahman Sumon, nephew of maternity Aklima Begum, said that when Aklima started having labor pains, she was admitted to Faisal Clinic and Diagnostic Center around 11 am on Saturday. She gave birth to a baby girl through an operation at around 2:30 pm.
Mahabur Rahman Sumon further said that the bleeding of the patient did not stop after the operation. Gradually his condition began to deteriorate.
He was rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital in a microbus at around 5 pm. He died there around 8:30 pm. Another relative of the patient, Kachim Uddin, complained that the clinic owner, Ziaur Rahman Zia, operated on himself without being a doctor, without a specialist in surgery and an unconscious doctor. This resulted in maternal death due to wrong treatment.
He demanded exemplary punishment for clinic owner Zia in the incident. Clinic owner Ziaur Rahman Zia said Aklima Begum was operated on by a doctor named Habibul Hasan. He also admitted that there was no doctor of unconsciousness there. Upazila health officer said. Vijay Kumar Roy said, I have heard the matter.
So far no one was able to send in the perfect solution, which is not strange. If any complaint is received, action will be taken against the owner of the clinic. Manda Police Station OC Shahinur Rahman said an officer has been sent to the spot to investigate the matter. Legal action will be taken in this regard later.
