Today (March 26) is the 22nd death anniversary of freedom fighter commander Alhaj Md Moazzem Hoson, former MP of Patuakhali 4 seat and DDC (District Development Coordinator). On this occasion, the deceased's family has organized Qoran khani, Milad Mahfil and special prayer in every mosque of Kalapara municipality, orphanage and every mosque of his birth place Dhulasar Union, Mahipur and Rangabali police station and Segun Bagichar bus building in Dhaka. It is noted that late Moazzem Hossain joined the Pakistan Air Force in 1968 and later actively participated in the liberation war by forming the Mukti Bahini in Amtali and Kalapara Police Stations under Major Jalil in Sector 9 in April 1971.
On March 26, 2002, he died of a heart attack during the Independence Day programme in the grounds of Khepupara Secondary School.
