Dealer arrested for selling TCB goods at high prices

Police have arrested dealer Sirajul Islam, owner of Ayub Enterprise, on charges of selling TCB products at high prices in the market in Satkhira. 

He was arrested on Wednesday morning while delivering goods at Shaheed Abdur Razzak Park area in the district town. Satkhira Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Mirza Salahuddin led the operation.

Locals complained that many allegations against him about TCB products were long-standing. From night to morning, poor to middle class people stand like crows on pilgrimage at Shaheed Abdur Razzak Park to buy goods. But after waiting for hours in the sun, many of them finally returned empty-handed. 

According to the victims, Sirajul Islam had been selling TCB products at high prices in the market for a long time.

According to the allotment letter, the amount of sugar in the list is said to be 300 kg, but after visiting the spot, it is seen that there is only 194 kg, which is less than 108 kg. In the same way, lentil pulses are supposed to weigh 800 kg, but there are only 202 kg, which is 496 kg less. If the onion is supposed to be 600 kg, it is only 413 kg, which is less than 26 kg. Soybean oil is supposed to be 800 liters but there are 640 liters, which is less than 60 liters.

Accused dealer Sirajul Islam said that he provided goods to many people on the way.

Satkhira Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Mirza Salahuddin said that on the basis of news, police took position at the spot on Wednesday morning and checked the quantity. Police found huge manipulation.
