Members of the Armed Police Battalion (APBN) have rescued a dead elephant from a hillside in Teknaf of Cox's Bazar district.
It was rescued from a waterfall at the foot of a hill west of the Shalbagan Rohingya Camp in Teknaf at around 8:15 am on Monday.
APBN-16 Captain Mohammad Tariqul Islam said, the dead elephant was rescued and handed over to the Forest Department.
Although several calls were made to the Forest Officer of the Southern Forest Department on his mobile phone, it was not possible to get his comment on this matter as he did not receive the call.
