DCAB pays tribute to Bangabandhu

Diplomatic Correspondents Association, Bangladesh (DCAB) on Friday paid tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi 32 in Dhaka.

DCAB members, led by its President Rezaul Karim Lotus and General Secretary Abu Hena Emrul Kayesh, placed wreath at Bangabandhu's portrait in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum.

Vice-president Mir Mostafizur Rahman, Joint Secretary Ashiqur Rahman Apu, Treasurer Atiqur Rahman, and Executive Members Khurram Zaman, Nafiza Daula, Rabiul Huq, Sheikh Shahrirar Zaman, and Touhidur Rahman were also present.

Former DCAB President Raheed Ejaz  and General Secretary Nurul Islam Hasib, members including Salam Jubair, Mizanur Rahman, and Jesmin Papri were also present, among others.

They also stood in solemn silence for some time showing profound respect to the memory of Father of the Nation, the architect of the Independent Bangladesh, his family members, Liberation War martyrs and the Freedom Fighters.

The 11-member executive committee of DCAB took charge for the year of 2023 on January 5 following an election on December 29 last year. DCAB was founded on March 16, 1998.
